The Journey
My name is Kahlelah Monique Goodine, a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a former fashion & promo model, hailing from Inglewood, California. I have modeled for several apparel & accessory designers, walked in many fashion shows, and toured the United States as a national spokesmodel for Dodge vehicles, through Chrysler Group LLC (now Fiat Chrysler USA). I am a former Budweiser Girl for the Anheuser-Busch Southern California market, and the former Host & Commentator for the now-disbanded traveling fashion group, Runway Rhythm, of Southern California.
As I began modeling in 2005 it allowed me to build a resume’ of notable accomplishments: earning the No. 8 position in the Top 10 ranking of the 2010 Miss Black California USA Scholarship Pageant, 1st runner up in the 2011 Brazilian Summer Beauty Pageant (for charity), and the honor of “Miss Photogenic” for the 2012 Miss California United States Beauty Pageant. Eventually, my runway career transitioned from the catwalk to the production crew, immersing more behind-the-scenes into the business side of the runway.
In 2014 I officially began “The KG Spot,” with runway coaching as the primary fashion-related service provided. In 2017 and 2018, I introduced both California- and South Carolina-based independent designers to the runway for the 6th & 7th annual Columbia Fashion Week productions; I also placed designers in Paramount Promotions & Chapman Foundation’s 5th annual “Summer Breeze Hair & Fashion Affair” in Columbia, South Carolina; and the COSMOLINX 2017 Summer Show in Charlotte, North Carolina . . . all of which set the bar for working closely with independent apparel brands. Currently, I serve as Host & Commentator for traveling fashion group, Runway Elite, of Northern California, and as Chief Operating Officer of the innovative fashion conglomerate and docu-series, Designers of Los Angeles.
As we navigate through a new era, everything has altered how we do daily things . . . especially how we eat, shop, and enjoy pastimes. I am pleased to bring to you a new spin on life: Fresh Off The Runway.
